This iconic landmark of Lhasa is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was once the winter residence of the Dalai Lama. The palace features 13 stories, 1,000 rooms, and various treasures such as murals, sculptures, and scriptures.

Sera Monastery:

One of the “great three” Gelug University monasteries of Tibet, Sera Monastery is renowned for its famous debating sessions that take place between the monks.

Drepung Monastery:

This is another Gelug monastery that was once the largest in the world. It is famous for its collection of historical and cultural artifacts, including ancient sutras, sculptures, and thangkas.

Norbulinka Palace:

This is the former summer residence of the Dalai Lama, and it features a beautiful garden, a lake, and various buildings that reflect Tibetan architecture and culture.

Ramoche temple:

This temple, which is near the Jokhang Temple, is well-known for the Buddha statue that Princess Wencheng brought to Tibet.

Barkhor Street:

This is a bustling street that surrounds the Jokhang Temple and is known for its local markets, souvenir shops, and traditional Tibetan handicrafts.
